AB504-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB504-AA1,1,7 21. Page 1, line 5: delete the material beginning with "If" and ending with "sub.
3(4) (a) 1." on page 2, line 2, and substitute "Notwithstanding sub. (4) (a) 1., if the
4charter school receives more applications than there are unoccupied spaces, the
5charter school shall determine which pupils to accept on a random basis. The
6contract may provide that one or more of the following are included in the charter
7school's count of occupied spaces:
AB504-AA1,1,88 1. A pupil who is already attending the charter school.
AB504-AA1,1,99 2. A sibling of a pupil who is already attending the charter school.
AB504-AA1,2,510 3. Spaces reserved by the charter school for pupils whose parent or guardian
11is employed by the business. The charter school may not reserve under this
12subdivision more than 25 percent of the charter school's total number of spaces. If
13the charter school receives more applications from pupils whose parent or guardian

1is employed by the business than the number of spaces actually reserved under this
2subdivision, the charter school shall determine which of these pupils to accept on a
3random basis, regardless of the pupil's school district of residence. Pupils who are
4not randomly selected under this subdivision are eligible for random selection under
5par. (e) (intro.).".
