AB766-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB766-AA1,1,2 21. Page 2, line 1: delete lines 1 to 7 and substitute:
AB766-AA1,1,3 3" Section 1g. 175.40 (1) (d) of the statutes is created to read:
AB766-AA1,1,54 175.40 (1) (d) "University police" means the University of Wisconsin System
5police under s. 36.11 (2).
AB766-AA1, s. 1m 6Section 1m. 175.40 (5) (a) of the statutes is renumbered 175.40 (5) (a) 1. and
7amended to read:
AB766-AA1,1,128 175.40 (5) (a) 1. For Subject to subd. 2., for any county having a population of
9500,000 or more, if any law enforcement officer has territorial jurisdiction that is
10wholly or partially within that county and has authority to arrest a person within
11the officer's territorial jurisdiction, the officer may arrest that person anywhere in
12the county.

1175.40 (5) (a) 2. If a university police officer has law enforcement
2responsibilities for a campus in a particular county and authority to arrest a person
3on campus, the officer may arrest the person elsewhere in the county, but only within
4a municipality with which the university police has an agreement under par. (d).".
