1An Act to repeal 14.035 and 569.015 (2);
to amend 20.923 (6) (aL), 165.25 (3r),
2230.08 (2) (xe), 565.01 (6m) (c) and 569.03 (2); and
to create 13.0995 of the
3statutes;
relating to: approval of Indian gaming compacts.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

513.0995 Approval of Indian gaming compacts. The president of the senate
6and the speaker of the assembly shall jointly negotiate any compact under
25 USC
72710 (d). The president and speaker may enter into, amend, extend, or renew a
8compact on behalf of the state if both the president and the speaker approve the
9proposed compact and a majority of the members elected to each house of the
10legislature approves the proposed compact.
