SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 399

SB399-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB399-SA1,1,4 1. Page 3, line 1: delete the material beginning with "prepare" and ending with "registrar" on line 2 and substitute "prepare the certificate and provide it to the parent or parents requesting it".

SB399-SA1,1,5 2. Page 3, line 8: delete "filing" and substitute "preparation".

SB399-SA1,1,7 3. Page 3, line 10: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 4, line 12, and substitute:

SB399-SA1,1,12 "(3) Rules. The department shall promulgate rules prescribing the form of, and information to be included on, a certificate of birth resulting in stillbirth, which shall be as similar as possible to the form of and information included on a certificate of birth. The department shall provide assistance and instruction as necessary to hospitals in the preparation of certificates of birth resulting in stillbirth.".
