SR3-SA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the resolution as follows:
SR3-SA2,1,2 21. Page 38, line 17: after that line insert:
SR3-SA2,1,3 3" Section 86m. Senate rule 95m is created to read:
SR3-SA2,1,4 4Senate Rule 95m. Campaign contributions. (1) In this rule:
SR3-SA2,1,65 (a) "Contribution," "legislative campaign committee," and "personal campaign
6committee" have the meanings given for the terms in section 11.01 of the statutes.
SR3-SA2,1,87 (b) "Legislative leader" means the senate majority or minority leader or a
8senate member of the joint committee on finance.
SR3-SA2,2,49 (2) A legislative leader may not schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or
10receive, a contribution for or at; or authorize a legislative campaign committee to
11schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or receive, a contribution for or at; and a
12legislative leader may not schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or receive, a
13contribution for or at; or authorize his or her personal campaign committee to

1schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or receive, a contribution for or at; a
2fund-raising social event or otherwise after January 1 of the odd-numbered year
3and before the date of enactment, as defined in section 35.095 (1) (a) of the statutes,
4of the executive budget bill introduced under section 16.47 (1) of the statutes.
SR3-SA2,2,85 (3) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a legislative
6campaign committee held during the period between the first day authorized for
7filing nomination papers for any special election to the senate and the date of the
8special election.
SR3-SA2,2,149 (4) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a current
10member of the senate or his or her personal campaign committee held during the
11period between the first day authorized for filing nomination papers for any office for
12which a current member of the senate is a candidate and the date of the election for
13that office, if the event is held within the boundaries of the jurisdiction or district
14served by the office for which the current member of the senate is a candidate.
SR3-SA2,2,1915 (5) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a current
16member of the senate or his or her personal campaign committee held during the
17period between the first day authorized for filing nomination papers for any office,
18other than senator, in the case of a member of the senate, for which a current member
19of the senate is a candidate and the date of the election for that other office.".
