AB226-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB226-AA2,1,3 21. Page 3, line 1: after "Board," insert "recall procedures for local elective
3officials,".
AB226-AA2,1,4 42. Page 20, line 7: after that line insert:
AB226-AA2,1,5 5" Section 8e. 9.10 (1) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB226-AA2,1,136 9.10 (1) (b) Except as provided in par. (c), a petition for recall of a state,
7congressional, legislative, judicial or county
an officer shall be signed by electors
8equal to at least 25% of the vote cast for the office of governor at the last election
9within the same district or territory as that of the officeholder being recalled. Except
10as provided in par. (c), a petition for the recall of a city, village, town or school district
11officer shall be signed by electors equal to at least 25% of the vote cast for the office
12of president at the last election within the same district or territory as that of the
13officeholder being recalled.

1Section 8m. 9.10 (1) (c) 2. of the statutes is amended to read:
AB226-AA2,2,52 9.10 (1) (c) 2. The vote for governor or president, as required, at the last general
3election in the municipality within which the district lies shall be multiplied by 25%
4of the quotient determined under subd. 1. to determine the required number of
5signatures.
AB226-AA2, s. 8s 6Section 8s. 9.10 (2) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB226-AA2,2,227 9.10 (2) (d) No petition may be offered for filing for the recall of an officer unless
8the petitioner first files a registration statement under s. 11.05 (1) or (2) with the
9filing officer with whom the petition is filed. The petitioner shall append to the
10registration a statement indicating his or her intent to circulate a recall petition, the
11name of the officer for whom recall is sought and, in the case of a petition for the recall
12of a city, village, town or school district officer, a statement of a reason for the recall
13which is related to the official responsibilities of the official for whom removal is
14sought. No petitioner may circulate a petition for the recall of an officer prior to
15completing registration. The last date that a petition for the recall of a state,
16congressional, legislative, judicial or county
an officer may be offered for filing is 5
17p.m. on the 60th day commencing after registration. The last date that a petition for
18the recall of a city, village, town or school district officer may be offered for filing is
195 p.m. on the 30th day commencing after registration.
After the recall petition has
20been offered for filing, no name may be added or removed. No signature may be
21counted unless the date of the signature is within the period provided in this
22paragraph.".

1"(4m) The treatment of section 9.10 (1) (b) and (c) 2. and (2) (d) of the statutes
2first applies with respect to petitions for recall that are initially circulated on the
