AR6-AA11,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the resolution as follows:
AR6-AA11,1,2 21. Page 4, line 21: after that line insert:
AR6-AA11,1,3 3" Section 11m. Assembly rule 98m is created to read:
AR6-AA11,1,5 4Assembly Rule 98m. Campaign contributions before budget. (1) In this
5rule:
AR6-AA11,1,76 (a) "Contribution," "legislative campaign committee," and "personal campaign
7committee" have the meanings given for the terms in section 11.01 of the statutes.
AR6-AA11,1,98 (b) "Legislative leader" means a member of the assembly committee on
9organization or the assembly committee on finance.
AR6-AA11,2,610 (2) A legislative leader or member may not schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit,
11make, or receive, a contribution for or at; or authorize a legislative campaign
12committee to schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or receive, a contribution for
13or at; and a legislative leader or member may not schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit,

1make, or receive, a contribution for or at; or authorize his or her personal campaign
2committee to schedule, hold, or attend, or solicit, make, or receive, a contribution for
3or at; a fund-raising social event or otherwise after January 1 of the odd-numbered
4year and before the date of enactment, as defined in section 35.095 (1) (a) of the
5statutes, of the executive budget bill introduced under section 16.47 (1) of the
6statutes.
AR6-AA11,2,107 (3) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a legislative
8campaign committee held during the period between the first day authorized for
9filing nomination papers for any special election to the assembly and the date of the
10special election.
AR6-AA11,2,1611 (4) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a current
12member of the assembly or his or her personal campaign committee held during the
13period between the first day authorized for filing nomination papers for any office for
14which a current member of the assembly is a candidate and the date of the election
15for that office, if the event is held within the boundaries of the jurisdiction or district
16served by the office for which the current member of the assembly is a candidate.
AR6-AA11,2,2217 (5) Subsection (2) does not apply to a fund-raising social event of a current
18member of the assembly or his or her personal campaign committee held during the
19period between the first day authorized for filing nomination papers for any office,
20other than representative to the assembly, in the case of a member of the assembly,
21for which a current member of the assembly is a candidate and the date of the election
22for that other office.".
