ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO 2007 ASSEMBLY BILL 538

AB538-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB538-AA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 4: after "nature" insert "and making an appropriation".

AB538-AA2,1,3 2. Page 3, line 9: delete lines 9 to 15 and substitute:

AB538-AA2,1,5 " Section 3g. 341.14 (6r) (b) 9. of the statutes is renumbered 341.14 (6r) (b) 9. a. and amended to read:

AB538-AA2,1,11 341.14 (6r) (b) 9. a. A fee of $15 shall be charged for the issuance or reissuance of a plate for a special group specified under par. (f) 1. to 19., 20. to 32., 49. to 49m., 49s., 51., or 56. All moneys received under this subdivision subd. 9. a. in excess of the initial costs of production of the special group plates under par. (f) 3m., 6m., 9g., 9m., 12g., 12m., 49d., 49h., 49s., and 56. or $37,800, whichever is less, shall be deposited in the veterans trust fund.

AB538-AA2, s. 3r Section 3r. 341.14 (6r) (b) 9. b. of the statutes is created to read:

AB538-AA2,2,5 341.14 (6r) (b) 9. b. A fee of $15 shall be charged for the issuance or reissuance of a plate for the special group specified under par. (f) 49p. All moneys received under this subd. 9. b. in excess of the initial costs of production of the special group plate under par. (f) 49p. or $28,600, whichever is less, shall be deposited in the veterans trust fund.".

AB538-AA2,2,7 " Section 7g. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB538-AA2,2,15 (1) Notwithstanding section 16.42 (1) (e) of the statutes, if this subsection takes effect in fiscal year 2008-09, in submitting information under section 16.42 of the statutes for purposes of the 2009-11 biennial budget bill, the department of transportation shall submit information concerning the appropriation under section 20.395 (5) (cq) of the statutes as though the total amount appropriated under section 20.395 (5) (cq) of the statutes for the 2008-09 fiscal year was $28,600 less than the total amount that was actually appropriated under section 20.395 (5) (cq) for the 2008-09 fiscal year.

AB538-AA2, s. 7r Section 7r. Fiscal changes.

AB538-AA2,2,22 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of transportation under section 20.395 (5) (cq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2007, the dollar amount is increased by $28,600 for the fiscal year in which this subsection takes effect to increase funding for special registration plates for members or former members of the 32nd "Red Arrow" Brigade or Division.".
