AB493-AA10,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB493-AA10,1,3 1. Page 1, line 4: after "election" insert ", waiver of fee for elector to obtain birth certificate,".

AB493-AA10,1,4 2. Page 5, line 10: after that line insert:

AB493-AA10,1,5 " Section 6g. 69.22 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB493-AA10,1,7 69.22 (1) (intro.) Except as provided in sub. subs. (6) and (7), the state registrar and any local registrar acting under this subchapter shall collect the following fees:

AB493-AA10,6m Section 6m. 69.22 (7) of the statutes is created to read:

AB493-AA10,2,2 69.22 (7) The state registrar and any local registrar acting under this subchapter may not collect the fees described in sub. (1) (c) if the requester states, in writing, that the requester is an elector and that the birth certificate is being obtained for the purpose of obtaining an operator's license issued under ch. 343 or an identification card issued under s. 343.50 for purposes of voting.".
