TO SENATE BILL 36

SB36-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB36-SA1,1,5 21. Page 1, line 2: delete the material beginning with "the" and ending with
3"contractors" on line 3 and substitute "timing for licensing, registration, and
4certification requirements for electrical contractors, electricians, and electrical
5inspectors".
SB36-SA1,1,6 62. Page 1, line 4: after "is" insert "renumbered 101.861 (1) and".
SB36-SA1,1,7 73. Page 1, line 5: delete that line and substitute:
SB36-SA1,1,8 8"101.861 (1) Any ordinance enacted by a".
SB36-SA1,1,9 94. Page 2, line 6: after that line insert:
SB36-SA1,1,10 10" Section 1m. 101.861 (2) of the statutes is created to read:
SB36-SA1,1,1211 101.861 (2) Beginning on the effective date of this subsection .... [LRB inserts
12date], and ending on March 31, 2014, all of the following apply:

1(a) Any municipal ordinance that was in existence on March 19, 2008, and that
2imposed any licensing, registration, or certification requirements on electrical
3contractors, electricians, or electrical inspectors shall not apply to electrical
4contractors, electricians, or electrical inspectors who are licensed, registered, or
5certified by the department under this subchapter.
SB36-SA1,2,96 (b) A municipality that had an ordinance in existence on March 19, 2008, for
7licensing, registering, or certifying electrical contractors, electricians, or electrical
8inspectors may issue and renew licenses, registrations, or certifications but such
9licenses, registrations, and certifications are not valid after March 31, 2014.".
