ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 742

AB742-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB742-AA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 3: delete "coordination" and substitute "grants".

AB742-AA2,1,3 2. Page 2, line 4: delete " coordination" and substitute "grants".

AB742-AA2,1,8 3. Page 2, line 5: delete lines 5 to 7 and substitute "s. 20.445 (1) (b), the department shall provide student internship grants to students of institutions of higher education, as defined in 20 USC 1001 (a) and (b), who are placed with employers for unpaid internships. The department shall determine the amount of those grants based on financial need.".

AB742-AA2,1,10 4. Page 3, line 1: delete the material beginning with "are placed" and ending with "conducted" on line 2 and substitute " receive student internship grants".

AB742-AA2,1,11 5. Page 3, line 4: after " internship" insert "grant".

AB742-AA2,2,3 6. Page 3, line 8: delete the material beginning with "providing" and ending with "internships." on line 10 and substitute "coordinating the student internship grant program under section 106.27 (1r) of the statutes, as created by this act.".
