4895.519 Civil liability exemption; private campgrounds. (1) In this
5section, "private campground" means a facility that is issued a campground permit
6under s. 254.47 and that is owned and operated by a private property owner, as
7defined in s. 895.52 (1) (e).

8(2) A private campground, an owner or operator of a private campground, and
9any employees and officers of a private campground or private campground owner
10or operator are immune from civil liability for damage to property or for the death
11of or injury to an individual that is caused by or occurred during the use of the
1campground, unless the damage to property, death, or injury is caused by a malicious
2act or by a malicious failure to warn against an unsafe condition of which the owner
3or operator of the campground or an employee or officer of the campground or
4campground owner or operator knew.

(1) This act first applies to acts or omissions that occur on the effective date of
7this subsection.
