ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 712

AB712-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB712-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 11: delete lines 11 to 13 and substitute:

AB712-AA1,1,6 “(a) Except as provided in par. (d), no law enforcement officer may knowingly enforce or attempt to enforce a federal or state law that relates to the management of the wolf population in this state or that prohibits the killing of wolves in this state.”.

AB712-AA1,1,7 2. Page 3, line 5: delete lines 5 and 6 and substitute:

AB712-AA1,1,10 “2. Except as provided in par. (d), take any action to inform or support federal law enforcement officers regarding the enforcement of any federal or state law relating to wolves.”.

AB712-AA1,1,11 3. Page 3, line 6: after that line insert:

AB712-AA1,2,2 “(d) If a law enforcement officer knows of, or has evidence of, an action that has occurred or is occurring that violates a federal law relating to wolves, the law enforcement officer shall notify and provide all evidence of the violation to federal law enforcement.”.
