1. Law enforcement overtime grants
This bill changes the funding source for law enforcement overtime grants from an annual sum certain program receipts appropriation to an annual sum certain GPR appropriation in the 2019-21 fiscal biennium.
This bill also transfers the remaining moneys that had been appropriated to law enforcement overtime grants in the 2017-19 fiscal biennium to an appropriation to be used at the discretion of the attorney general.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 20.455 (2) (jc) of the statutes is renumbered 20.455 (2) (bm) and amended to read:
20.455 (2) (bm) Law enforcement overtime grants. The amounts in the schedule for grants under s. 165.986 (7). All moneys transferred under 2017 Wisconsin Act 59, section 9228 (9p) shall be credited to this appropriation account.
****Note: This Section involves a change in an appropriation that must be reflected in the revised schedule in s. 20.005, stats.

Fiscal changes; Justice.
(1) Unspent law enforcement overtime grant moneys. On the effective date of this subsection, the unencumbered balance in the appropriation account under s. 20.455 (2) (jc), 2017 stats., immediately before the effective date of this subsection, is transferred to the appropriation account under s. 20.455 (3) (i).
