1995 Assembly Resolution 16
ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: the service to the Wisconsin Assembly of Robert G. Johnston.
Whereas, Robert G. Johnston was born in Akron, Ohio, and graduated from Whitewater High School in 1975; and
Whereas, Bob graduated from U.W.-Whitewater cum laude and attended graduate school at U.W.-Madison; and
Whereas, through hard work and dedication as an Assembly Head Messenger and a legislative aide, Bob was elected the youngest Assembly Sergeant at Arms in history, and he was then reelected to that position in 1989, 1991 and 1993; and
Whereas, during his tenure as Assembly Sergeant at Arms he was a member of the National Legislative Service and Security Association and established a relationship with the Tibetan Resettlement Program in 1992; and
Whereas, Bob Johnston has given the Assembly loyal and honest service characterized by dedication, excellence and hard work; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin Assembly commend and thank Robert G. Johnston for his many years of service to the Wisconsin Assembly and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and, be it further
Resolved, That the Assembly Chief Clerk shall provide a copy of this resolution to Robert G. Johnston.
