ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commemorating the distinguished record and public service of Cate Zeuske.
Whereas, Cate Zeuske served in the Wisconsin assembly from 1983 to 1991; and
Whereas, her remarkable tenure in the legislature reflected her zeal for innovation and fiscal responsibility; and
Whereas, Ms. Zeuske's record as Wisconsin state treasurer from 1991 to 1995 is beyond reproach for its proven effectiveness of leadership and demonstrated efficiency; and
Whereas, during her service as Wisconsin secretary of revenue, the state has seen tremendous benefits from her professionalism and customer-first approach to administration since 1996; and
Whereas, her presidency of Forward Wisconsin, Inc., enjoyed marked success in stimulating the state's economy; and
Whereas, Cate Zeuske has been an outstanding friend to agriculture in her chairmanship of the Farmland Advisory Council; and
Whereas, Ms. Zeuske has worked diligently to streamline government, increase communication, and inspire others through her work on the Kettl Commission and the Governor's Blue Ribbon Task Force on Jobs for the 21st Century; and
Whereas, the totality of her administration has focused on developing new ideas and implementing sound fiscal policy; and
Whereas, Cate has helped increase the participation of women in the political process through her involvement in Women in Government; and
Whereas, she is a dedicated wife and loving mother of two children; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend Cate Zeuske in recognition of her indispensable service to the state and wish her the best in all future endeavors; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Cate Zeuske.
