ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending and congratulating Tommy G. Thompson for his public service to the people of Wisconsin.
Whereas, Tommy G. Thompson was first elected to public office in 1966, as a member of the Wisconsin state assembly; and
Whereas, Tommy G. Thompson was elected governor of the great state of Wisconsin in 1986; and
Whereas, Tommy G. Thompson has devoted 35 years to making Wisconsin a great place to live, work, and raise a family; and
Whereas, Tommy G. Thompson has been nominated by President Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as the U.S. secretary of health and human services, now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin hereby commends and congratulates Tommy G. Thompson for his public service to the people of Wisconsin and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
