2003 Senate Joint Resolution 49
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and patriotic service of Christopher Glenn Mueller.
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on September 10, 1971; and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was a graduate of Victory Christian High School on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, in 1991; and
Whereas, on October 22, 1991, Christopher Glenn Mueller made a sacrifice to protect and serve the citizens of this nation by joining the United States Navy; and
Whereas, he successfully completed rigorous training to become a member of the United States Navy SEALS in 1994; and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller served as a Navy SEAL for 3 years before leaving the United States Navy with a rank of gunners mate first class petty officer; and
Whereas, he was honored with the medals of Good Conduct and National Defense Service; and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller received a degree from the University of California-San Diego's Revelle College in 2002; and
Whereas, after leaving the United States Navy, Christopher went to work for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA); and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was sent on a mission to track down terrorists in one of the most dangerous segments of Afghanistan; and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller died in action on October 25, 2003, fighting the war on terrorism; and
Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller has earned the respect and grateful thanks from the citizens of Wisconsin, this senate, and the United States of America, which he defended; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend and honor the life of Christopher Glenn Mueller, and express our appreciation for his sacrifice on behalf of the citizens of this nation; and, be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint resolution to the family of Christopher Glenn Mueller.
