2003 Senate Joint Resolution 75
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek.
Whereas, Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek, at the age of 18, was killed on Tuesday, April 6, 2004, while serving his country in Ramadi, Iraq; and
Whereas, Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek was a loving and devoted son to Ken and Rita Jerabek of Oneida; and
Whereas, Ryan M. Jerabek served with distinction with the United States Marine Corp 4th brigade, 2nd battalion; and
Whereas, Ryan M. Jerabek graduated from Pulaski High School in 2003; and
Whereas, Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek joined the U.S. Marine Corps in July 2003, and graduated from basic training in October before attending Camp Pendleton for his advanced infantry training; and
Whereas, Ryan M. Jerabek made the ultimate sacrifice for his country while defending his country and advancing the cause of freedom for the Iraqi people; and
Whereas, Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek will always be remembered for his bravery, courage, and love of family and friends; and
Whereas, Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek loved his family, friends, community, and country, and proudly served the people of the United States in Iraq; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted service that Marine Private First Class Ryan M. Jerabek gave unselfishly to his country, his state, and his community; express their sorrow at his death; and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to his parents, Ken and Rita, Oneida; two brothers, Aaron, Milwaukee, and Nicholas, at home; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Sarah Clausen, Green Bay; paternal grandparents, Gene and Madlyn Jerabek, Green Bay; paternal great-grandfather, Jule Gilson, Green Bay; aunts and uncles, Patricia Zeitler and fiancé, Dr. Gregory Thatcher, Shawano; Michael and Pam Clausen, Green Bay; Kathleen and Bill Gehrke, Ishpeming, Michigan; Shawn and Pam Clausen, Kewaunee; Dale Jerabek, Green Bay; and Kaye Jerabek, Green Bay; and his best friend, Lance Corporal Mike Andrews, USMC.
