ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Lance Cpl. Daniel Wyatt.
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Daniel Wyatt was born on March 31, 1982, and was killed in action in the Babil Province of Iraq on October 12, 2004; and
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Wyatt enlisted while in high school as a member of the Milwaukee-based Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, (Fleet Marine Forces), (Reinforced); and
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Wyatt attended St. Rita's Elementary School and made the honor roll at Horlick High School from which he graduated in 2001; and
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Wyatt excelled in sports, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and considered a career in law enforcement; and
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Wyatt made the ultimate sacrifice for his country while advancing the cause of freedom for the Iraqi people; and
Whereas, Lance Cpl. Wyatt will always be remembered for his bravery and courage; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the life of Lance Cpl. Daniel Wyatt, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to the family of Lance Cpl. Daniel Wyatt.
