2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 114
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending Jolene Anderson, senior guard on the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badger women's basketball team, for her stellar athletic achievements over the last four years.
Whereas, Jolene Anderson, a native of Port Wing, Wisconsin, chose to further her promising athletic and academic career in her home state at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and
Whereas, Jolene Anderson has been named the Big Ten Player of the Year, the first Badger to be so honored; and
Whereas, Jolene Anderson has made University of Wisconsin history by becoming the all-time leading scorer for both men and women, with 2,267 Big Ten career points. Jolene has led the Badgers in scoring and rebounding for all of her four years on the team, averaging 19.8 points per game. Jolene ranks among the top in the Big Ten, including fourth in rebounding with 7.6 per game and seventh in Big Ten scoring points; and
Whereas, Jolene Anderson has been a great asset to the University of Wisconsin-Madison women's basketball team and has contributed her remarkable talents throughout her college career, honoring both her school and her home state of Wisconsin; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature salute Jolene Anderson for her many outstanding achievements as a University of Wisconsin-Madison athlete.
