ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending the public service of John Martin Antaramian.
Whereas, John Martin Antaramian will be retiring this spring following an unparalleled tenure as the mayor of the City of Kenosha; and
Whereas, the Kenosha community has benefited greatly from his stewardship and will continue to benefit from his foresight, dedication, and hard work for years to come; and
Whereas, John Martin Antaramian is well known as a tireless and effective advocate for the City of Kenosha whose tenacity and creativity have resulted in groundbreaking initiatives for his community and have paved the way for tremendous growth and opportunity in Southeast Wisconsin; and
Whereas, the people of Kenosha will always be grateful to the Antaramian family—his wife Linda and his children Melinda and Martin—for the long hours and countless sacrifices endured so that we could be so well served by one of the most successful mayors in Kenosha history; and
Whereas, John Martin Antaramian has been a fixture in Kenosha's public life and is completing the longest mayoral tenure since 1850, leaving his community well prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead; and
Whereas, John Martin Antaramian will be missed as mayor as he begins a well-deserved and successful retirement in the community proud to have him as a native son; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin state legislature commend John Martin Antaramian for his invaluable service and contributions to the community and congratulate him on his retirement.
