2013 Assembly Joint Resolution 90
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the military service of Legislative Council staff attorney and United States Army Captain Chadwick Brown.
Whereas, Chadwick Brown has served as a staff attorney with the Legislative Council since June 2010; and
Whereas, during his employment with the Legislative Council, Chad has been twice called to active duty with the United States Army; and
Whereas, Chad was first mobilized to San Antonio, Texas, from July 2011 to May 2012, where he advocated for wounded warriors in disability proceedings at Fort Sam Houston and Brooke Army Medical Center; and
Whereas, Chad returned to the Legislative Council for one year before being deployed to Afghanistan; and
Whereas, in Afghanistan, Chad served as trial counsel and operational law attorney from May 2013 to January 2014 with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Fourth Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); and
Whereas, during his military service in Afghanistan, Chad was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service, as well as the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and NATO Medal; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin honors and commends Chad Brown for his military service; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Chad and to his wife, Yvonne, and daughter, Miranda.
