2013 Senate Joint Resolution 63
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: honoring the life and public service of James Jeskewitz.
Whereas, James Jeskewitz lived a life devoted to family, football, coaching, and teaching; and
Whereas, James was a standout football player at UW-La Crosse, and later signed a professional football contract; and
Whereas, James was a dedicated coach and teacher, leading the Menomonee Falls football team to 199 wins over 28 seasons and the 1976 WIAA State Championship; and
Whereas, James was named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame, the UW-La Crosse Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Menomonee Falls High School Hall of Fame; and
Whereas, after retiring from coaching and teaching, James continued to serve as a leader in his community as a village trustee for Menomonee Falls and as Waukesha County Board supervisor; and
Whereas, as a volunteer, James served the Menomonee Falls Optimist Club, the Falls Fest Board, the Menomonee Falls and St. Agnes food pantries, the Menomonee Falls Scholarship Board, Leadership Menomonee Falls, and the Menomonee Falls Historical Society Board; and
Whereas, James leaves behind his loving family, including former state representative Sue Jeskewitz, as well as his daughter Jayme, son Chad, and several grandchildren, and will be remembered as a man dedicated to improving his community; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature join all Wisconsin residents in honoring the life and achievements of James Jeskewitz.
