AB1094,1,2 An Act relating to: construction of a CTH "HH" bridge in Portage County and making an appropriation.

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau

Under current law, the department of transportation (DOT) administers a program to fund local bridge construction and reconstruction. This bill provides $7,015,500 in state funds for construction of a CTH "HH" bridge across the Wisconsin River in Portage County. The bill also permits DOT to reimburse Portage County for 75% of the preliminary engineering costs relating to this bridge that are incurred by Portage County.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB1094, s. 1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB1094,1,8 (1) (a) From the appropriation under section 20.395 (2) (aq) of the statutes, the department of transportation shall pay 75% of the preliminary engineering costs relating to a CTH "HH" bridge project in Portage County. Notwithstanding section 84.11 of the statutes, the department may reimburse Portage County, for preliminary engineering costs incurred by the county, to comply with this paragraph.

AB1094,1,9 (b) This subsection does not apply after June 30, 1998.

AB1094,2,7 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of transportation under section 20.395 (2) (aq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $6,015,500 for fiscal year 1995-96 and the dollar amount is increased by $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1996-97 to increase funding for construction of a CTH "HH" bridge in Portage County.

AB1094,2,12 (2) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of transportation under section 20.395 (3) (cq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is decreased by $6,015,500 for fiscal year 1995-96 and the dollar amount is decreased by $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1996-97 to decrease funding for the purposes for which the appropriation is made.
