AB705,1,2 1An Act to create 40.03 (6) (k) of the statutes; relating to: contracting authority
2of the group insurance board for the administration of group insurance plans.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the group insurance board, attached to the department of
employe trust funds, is responsible for providing and administering all group
insurance plans offered to state and other government employes who participate in
the Wisconsin retirement system. This bill authorizes the group insurance board to
enter into contracts with any public or private entity to perform any function that
is necessary to the administration of any group insurance plan offered by the group
insurance board.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
