AJR2,1,32 Whereas, Fred Reger was born on April 14, 1916, in Clare, Michigan, and died
3on September 12, 1994, in Merrill; and
AJR2,1,54 Whereas, he was a graduate of Merrill High School and Lincoln County
5Teachers College; and
AJR2,1,86 Whereas, he was the mayor of Merrill from 1946 to 1948, a member of the
7Merrill City Council and the Lincoln County Board and a member of the Lincoln
8County Teachers College Board; and
AJR2,1,119 Whereas, he was elected to the assembly in 1962 and served during the 1963-64
10session on the Taxation Committee, the Education Committee and the Legislative
11Council Election Laws Committee; and
AJR2,1,1312 Whereas, Mr. Reger was also an insurance agent and a grade school teacher;
13now, therefore, be it
AJR2,1,17 14Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
15legislature of the state of Wisconsin salute the many years of public service that Fred
16Reger rendered in a number of positions, express their sorrow at his death and
17extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further

1Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
2resolution to Mr. Reger's wife, Ena, and to his daughters, Gayla Reger and Ellen
3Reger.
