Whereas, each community in Wisconsin is under the protective eyes of police
3officers and firefighters 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; and

Whereas, thousands of heroic acts accomplished by Wisconsin's police officers
5and firefighters have gone without some form of permanent recognition; and

Whereas, a police officer or firefighter should not have to die to be recognized
7for his or her act; and

Whereas, Superior is home to the oldest Firefighters' Association in the state
9of Wisconsin, which was organized in 1918; now, therefore, be it

10Resolved by the assembly, the Senate concurring, That the legislature of
11the state of Wisconsin recognizes Superior's Old Firehouse Police and Fire Museum
12in Superior as the site of the state of Wisconsin Police and Firefighters Hall of Fame.
