SB133,1,3 1An Act to affect 1985 Wisconsin Act 185, section 3; relating to: conveying
2certain submerged lands to Brown County for a facility for dredge spoil
3containment.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under 1985 Wisconsin Act 185, the state conveyed to Brown County a parcel
of land under the waters of Green Bay. The act authorizes the construction of a
facility for dredge spoil containment on the parcel. A provision of the act requires
that the parcel revert to the state if the facility is not constructed before April 22,
1996. This bill removes this provision.
Because this bill concerns a conveyance of a lake bed area, the department of
natural resources, as required by law, will prepare a detailed report to be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be
printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB133, s. 1 4Section 1. 1985 Wisconsin Act 185, section 3 is amended to read:
SB133,2,25[1985 Wisconsin Act 185] Section 3. Conditions. The facility for dredge spoil
6containment established under Section 1 of this act shall be subject to all
7requirements of state and federal law governing such facilities, including but not
8limited to chapters 144 and 147 of the statutes. If the facility has not been

1constructed within 10 years after the grant under
Section 1 of this act, the land shall
2revert back to the state.
