SB156,1,2 1An Act to create 36.27 (1) (b) of the statutes; relating to: the amount charged
2by the University of Wisconsin System for repeating a course.

This bill directs the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin System to
ensure that if a student repeats a course because he or she failed the course or
because he or she withdrew from the course subsequent to the period during which
he or she would have been entitled to a refund of any portion of the tuition or fees paid
for the course, the tuition or fee charged for the repeated course is an amount equal
to at least the full cost of providing the course.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB156, s. 1 3Section 1. 36.27 (1) (b) of the statutes is created to read:
SB156,2,24 36.27 (1) (b) If a student repeats a course because he or she failed the course
5or because he or she withdrew from the course subsequent to the period during which
6he or she would have been entitled to a refund of any portion of the tuition or fees paid
7for the course, as determined by the board of regents, the board shall ensure that the

1tuition or fee charged for the repeated course is an amount equal to at least the full
2cost of providing the course.
