1995 - 1996 LEGISLATURE
June 13, 1995 - Introduced by Senator Adelman. Referred to Committee on
Transportation, Agriculture and Local Affairs.
SB255,1,3 1An Act to create 110.08 (2m) of the statutes; relating to: the driving skills test
2for a commercial driver license or an endorsement to drive certain commercial
3vehicles.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, every applicant for a motor vehicle operator's license, or for
authorization to drive a certain class or type of vehicle which the applicant is not
authorized to drive, is required to successfully complete both a knowledge test and
a driving skills test that demonstrates the applicant's ability to drive. This bill
requires the department of transportation to make a driving skills test available
throughout each working day during March, April and May to applicants for a
commercial driver's license or for an endorsement to drive a commercial vehicle.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
