SB266,1,1 1An Act relating to: the Northern Great Lakes Regional Visitor Center.

Under the bill, if the federal government approves federal funding for a
Northern Great Lakes Regional Visitor Center, the building commission may
commence planning activities with respect to the center and shall submit proposed
legislation to the joint committee on finance. The bill requires that this proposed
legislation amend the state building program to enumerate the Northern Great
Lakes Regional Visitor Center as a state building project, to be funded with 4,100,000
in general fund supported borrowing and with $4,100,000 in federal funding. The
bill also requires this proposed legislation to authorize the state to contract up to
$4,100,000 in public debt for the center.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB266, s. 1 2Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB266,1,73 (1) Northern Great Lakes Regional Visitor Center. If the federal
4government approves federal funding for a Northern Great Lakes Regional Visitor
5Center, the building commission may begin planning activities with respect to the
6center and shall submit to the cochairpersons of the joint committee on finance, for
7introduction to the legislature, proposed legislation to do all of the following:
