SB492,1,2 1An Act to amend 939.64 (2) of the statutes; relating to: wearing a bulletproof
2vest while committing a felony and providing a penalty.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, if a person commits a felony while wearing a bulletproof
vest, the maximum term of imprisonment for the felony is increased by 5 years. This
bill makes the increase 10 years.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB492, s. 1 3Section 1. 939.64 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB492,1,64 939.64 (2) If a person commits a felony while wearing a bulletproof garment,
5the maximum term of imprisonment prescribed by law for that crime may be in
6creased by 5 10 years.
