2year as Wisconsin's "Ethnic Trail Day".
SJR32,1,43 Whereas, more ethnic groups settled in the state of Wisconsin in the nineteenth
4century than in any other state; and
SJR32,1,55 Whereas, many ethnic celebrations are held annually in this state; and
SJR32,1,66 Whereas, tourism is a major industry in this state; and
SJR32,1,107 Whereas, the state of Wisconsin encourages interest in and knowledge of the
8historic, cultural and ethnic heritage of this state through a program of historic sites,
9historical markers and plaques, and designated highway routes, including the Green
10Bay Ethnic Trail along the shore of Lake Michigan; and
SJR32,1,1411 Whereas, Wisconsin's Ethnic Settlement Trail, Inc., a state of Wisconsin
12heritage tourism project, encourages and promotes the membership and
13participation in its organization of all ethnic settlements in this state; now, therefore,

SJR32,2,2 15Resolved by the senate, the Assembly concurring, That the legislature of
16the state of Wisconsin recognizes the historical achievements and contributions of

1all ethnic settlements in this state by designating the first Sunday after the first
2Saturday in October of each year as Wisconsin's "Ethnic Trail Day".
