This resolution creates a senate special committee on state and federal
relations.
The special committee on state and federal relations may function until
December 31, 1996.
SR3,1,2 2Resolved by the senate, That:
SR3, s. 1 3Section 1. State and federal relations, special committee on. There is
4created a senate special committee, to be known as the "special committee on state
5and federal relations", consisting of 4 members of the majority party and 3 members
6of the minority party, appointed as are members of standing committees. The
7majority leader shall be the chairperson of the special committee and the minority
8leader shall be the vice chairperson of the special committee.
SR3, s. 2 9Section 2. Review of proposals. Proposals may be referred to the special
10committee on state and federal relations. The special committee may submit its
11recommendations to the senate, including suggested legislation, if any, the same as
12proposals are referred to and reviewed by standing committees.

1Section 3. Special objective. The special committee on state and federal
2relations shall monitor the federal government's actions relating to unfunded
3mandates, the granting of waivers and federal legislation that impacts state
4government. The special committee shall lobby Wisconsin's congressional
5delegation and the federal administration on these and other issues of concern to this
6state.
SR3, s. 4 7Section 4. Completion of objective. The special committee on state and
8federal relations may function until December 31, 1996.
