Under current law, money has been provided to construct 3 memorials at The
Highground in Clark County: one for the veterans of World War I, one for the
veterans of World War II and one for the veterans of the Persian Gulf War. The
Korean War Veterans Memorial Association of Wisconsin has created a Korean War
memorial at Plover in Portage County. This bill appropriates $90,000 for the
perpetual care of the Korean War memorial located at Plover.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB418, s. 1 3Section 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert

AB418, s. 2 1Section 2. 20.485 (2) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
AB418,2,42 20.485 (2) (e) Korean War memorial at Plover. From the general fund, as a
3continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule to provide perpetual care for
4the Korean War memorial located at Plover in Portage County.
AB418, s. 3 5Section 3. 45.035 of the statutes is created to read:
AB418,2,9 645.035 Korean War memorial at Plover. From the appropriation under s.
720.485 (2) (e), the department of veterans affairs shall provide funding to the Korean
8War Veterans Memorial Association of Wisconsin for the perpetual care of the Korean
9War memorial located at Plover in Portage County.
