AB484,1,3 1An Act to create 101.143 (4) (d) 2. e. of the statutes; relating to: reimbursement
2of costs incurred because of discharges from certain underground petroleum
3storage tanks in the village of Mount Calvary.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the department of commerce administers a program to
reimburse owners of certain petroleum product storage tanks for a portion of the
costs of cleaning up discharges from those tanks. This program is commonly known
as PECFA. The maximum PECFA reimbursement for one contaminated area is
$1,000,000.
This bill increases the maximum PECFA reimbursement to $2,000,000 for an
area in the village of Mount Calvary that was contaminated by a petroleum product
discharge.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB484,1,75 101.143 (4) (d) 2. e. Notwithstanding subd. 2. a., for an owner or operator of an
6underground petroleum storage tank system that caused an occurrence at 407 and
7408 Fond du Lac Street in the village of Mount Calvary, $2,000,000.
