AJR36,1,32 Whereas, Stephen E. Fredrick was born on December 15, 1945, in
3Farmersburg, Iowa, and died in rural Mindoro on February 18, 1997; and
AJR36,1,54 Whereas, Stephen Fredrick was a highly respected educator in the Coulee
5region and a great sportsman; and
AJR36,1,86 Whereas, Mr. Fredrick had a long and prestigious career in the field of
7education, serving as an English teacher, the Melrose-Mindoro High School
8principal and a district administrator; and
AJR36,1,109 Whereas, Mr. Fredrick was an effective and tireless advocate for education and
10for providing a safe and effective learning environment for his students; and
AJR36,1,1311 Whereas, Mr. Fredrick served his country with pride and distinction in Vietnam
12in the 101st Airborne Division as a combat platoon sergeant, earning a Bronze Star,
132 Air Medals and the Combat Infantryman's Badge; and
AJR36,1,1514 Whereas, Mr. Fredrick will be greatly missed by his family, friends, school
15district and community; and

1Whereas, Stephen Fredrick will be long remembered as a loving husband and
2father and is survived by his wife, Lois, and their 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jessica;
3now, therefore, be it
AJR36,2,7 4Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
5Wisconsin legislature salute Stephen Fredrick's many years of dedication to his
6family, his country and his community, express their sorrow at his death and extend
7condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR36,2,9 8Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
9resolution to Mr. Fredrick's wife and daughters.
