AB736,1,2 1An Act to amend 36.36 (intro.) of the statutes; relating to: grants for study

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law requires the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin
System (board) to award a grant of $2,000 to a resident undergraduate student to
assist in paying the costs of study abroad if the student satisfies certain criteria. This
bill instead requires the board to award a grant of up to $2,000.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB736,2,2 536.36 Grants for study abroad. (intro.) From the appropriation under s.
620.285 (1) (er), the board shall award a grant of up to $2,000 to a resident
