SB256,1,1 An Act to create 45.35 (19) of the statutes; relating to: flag etiquette.

This bill requires the department of veterans affairs (department) to prepare a booklet that describes the proper procedures for flag etiquette. The bill requires the department to provide the booklet without charge to members of the public and legislators upon request and to have the booklet available without charge at the Wisconsin veterans museum.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB256, s. 1 Section 1. 45.35 (19) of the statutes is created to read:

SB256,2,2 45.35 (19) Flag etiquette. The department shall prepare a booklet that describes the proper procedures for flag etiquette, including the proper displaying, folding, storage and disposal of the United States and Wisconsin flags. The department shall have the booklet available without charge at the Wisconsin veterans museum and shall provide the booklet without charge to legislators and members of the public upon request.
