Whereas, the 1999-2000 University of Wisconsin men's basketball team has an
4excellent recruitment, training and coaching staff guided by Head Coach Dick

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team advanced to the
7Final Four with a 64-60 win over Purdue on Saturday, March 25, 2000; and

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team, lead by Coach
9Dick Bennett, has reintroduced the term "defense" into college basketball; and

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team, shepherded by
11Head Coach Dick Bennett, has given Badger fans across the nation a reason to
12believe; and

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team has proven that
14hard work and determination by student athletes is the road map to the Final Four;
15now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the senate, That the members of the senate of the state of
2Wisconsin commend and congratulate the Wisconsin men's basketball team for its
3hard work and dedication in advancing men's basketball to its highest level and
4share the pride of the citizens of the state of Wisconsin in honoring their team
5achievement; and, be it further
