AB623,1,3 1An Act to create 38.37 of the statutes; relating to: the establishment of a crime
2prevention resource center at the Fox Valley Technical College by the Wisconsin
3Crime Prevention Practitioners Association.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill directs the Fox Valley Technical College to permit the Wisconsin Crime
Prevention Practitioners Association to establish at the college a crime prevention
resource center. The bill requires the department of administration to allocate for
the center in the 2002-03 fiscal year $50,000 from moneys appropriated for the office
of justice assistance.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB623, s. 1 4Section 1. 38.37 of the statutes is created to read:
AB623,2,2 538.37 Crime prevention resource center. The Fox Valley Technical College
6shall permit the Wisconsin Crime Prevention Practitioners Association or a person
7designated by the association to establish at the college a crime prevention resource

1center and shall operate the center in cooperation with the association or the person
2designated by the association.
AB623, s. 2 3Section 2. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB623,2,8 4(1) Crime prevention resource center. From federal and program revenue
5moneys appropriated to the department of administration for the office of justice
6assistance under section 20.505 (6) (kp) and (p) of the statutes, the department shall
7allocate $50,000 in fiscal year 2002-03 to provide funding for a crime prevention
8resource center established under section 38.37 of the statutes, as created by this act.
