Assembly Rule 98: This rule is created to require the reporting of campaign
contributions before the executive budget bill is passed by both houses within 5 day
after the contribution is received.

AR17,1,7 5Assembly Rule 98. Campaign contributions. (1) In this rule, "contribution,"
6"legislative campaign committee," and "personal campaign committee" have the
7meanings given for the terms in section 11.01 of the statutes.
AR17,2,28 (2) A member, member's personal campaign committee, or legislative
9campaign committee that receives a contribution, after January 1 of the
10odd-numbered year and before the executive budget bill introduced under section
1116.47 (1) of the statutes is passed by both houses, that must be reported pursuant to

1section 11.06 or 11.20 of the statutes shall report the contribution to the elections
2board within 5 days after receiving the contribution.
