SB306,1,2 1An Act to create 146.891 of the statutes; relating to: donated dental services
2and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the department of health and family services provides
$40,000 in general purpose revenues annually under contract for administration of
the donated dental services program. Under this program, dentists voluntarily
provide comprehensive dental care, without charge, to disabled, aged, and medically
compromised persons.
This bill increases the annual funding for administration of the donated dental
services program to $60,000.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB306, s. 1 3Section 1. 146.891 of the statutes is created to read:
SB306,2,2 4146.891 Donated dental services program. From the appropriation under
5s. 20.435 (1) (a), the department shall annually provide $60,000 to contract for the
6administration of a donated dental services program, under which dentists licensed

1under ch. 447 voluntarily provide comprehensive dental care without charge to
2individuals who are disabled, aged at least 65 years, or medically compromised.

SB306,2,104 (1) Donated dental services program administration. In the schedule under
5section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the health and family
6services under section 20.435 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2001,
7the dollar amount is increased by $20,000 for fiscal year 2001-02 and the dollar
8amount is increased by $20,000 for fiscal year 2002-03 to increase funding for
9administration of the donated dental services program under section 146.891 of the
10statutes.
