2003 - 2004 LEGISLATURE
January 16, 2004 - Introduced by Senator Reynolds, by request of Mr. Gerald
Hansman of Milwaukee. Referred to Committee on Transportation and
Information Infrastructure.
SB398,1,2 1An Act to amend 347.25 (3) of the statutes; relating to: vehicles operated in a
2funeral procession.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law generally prohibits any vehicle from being equipped with a
flashing light. An exception to this prohibition permits the lead vehicle or a
motorcycle escort in a funeral procession to be equipped with a flashing amber light,
but the light may be used only when the vehicle is used as a lead vehicle or escort in
the funeral procession.
This bill allows any vehicle being operated in or as an escort to a funeral
procession to be equipped with a flashing amber light, but the light may be used only
in the funeral procession.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
