SR22,1,3 1Relating to: proclaiming that the ancient Macedonians were Hellenes and that the
2inhabitants of the northern province of Greece, Macedonia, are their Hellenic
3descendants.
SR22,1,114 Whereas, Philip of Macedonia, his son, Alexander the Great, and his son's tutor,
5the philosopher Aristotle, were born and raised in the northern province of Greece,
6Macedonia; and the language and culture of the ancient Macedonians, the ancestors
7of the inhabitants of northern Greece of today, were Hellenic; and the Macedonians,
8like the rest of the Hellenes in antiquity, believed in the 12 Gods of Olympus and
9participated with their fellow Hellenes in the Olympic Games; and Pella, the palace
10where Alexander the Great was born, and Vergina, the burial site of the Macedonian
11kings, are all located in northern Greece; now, therefore, be it
SR22,1,15 12Resolved by the senate, That the members of the Wisconsin senate proclaim,
13for all of the above reasons, that the ancient Macedonians were Hellenes and that
14the inhabitants of the northern province of Greece, Macedonia, are their Hellenic
15descendants; and, be it further

1Resolved, That the history of ancient Macedonia has been Hellenic for 3,000
2years and continues to be today; and, be it further
SR22,2,4 3Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution
4to Nina Peropoulos, Supreme President, Pan-Macedonian Association, Inc.
