AB133,1,2 1An Act to amend 346.91 of the statutes; relating to: crossing a fire hose that
2is being used in an emergency situation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, no person may drive a vehicle over an unprotected fire hose
that is laid down to be used at any fire or alarm of fire emergency. A person who does
so may be required to forfeit not less than $20 nor more than $40 for the first offense
and not less than $50 nor more than $100 for a second or subsequent violation within
one year.
This bill prohibits a person from driving a vehicle over an unprotected fire hose
that is laid down to be used at any training exercise, scene of an emergency, or alarm
of emergency. The same penalties apply to a person who violates this prohibition.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB133,2,2 4346.91 Crossing fire hose. No person without the consent of the fire
5department official in command may drive a vehicle over any unprotected hose of a
6fire department when such hose is laid down on any street or private driveway to be

1used at any fire or alarm of fire training exercise, scene of an emergency, or alarm
2of emergency
