AJR2,1,53 Whereas, SSG Kiser was born on October 24, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to
4Charles and Glenda Kiser, and died on June 24, 2004, near Mosul, Iraq, while serving
5in Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
AJR2,1,126 Whereas, SSG Kiser attended St. Bernadette Elementary School, graduated
7from McNicholas High School in Cincinnati in 1985, and attended the University of
8Cincinnati for one year before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where he served for 7 years
9on active duty, and then served for 7 years in the Navy reserve at NMCB-25 in Green
10Bay, Wisconsin, before joining in 2001 the U.S. Army's 330th Military Police
11Detachment based at the FALE U.S. Army Reserve Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin;
12and
AJR2,1,1513 Whereas, SSG Kiser moved with his family to Cleveland, Wisconsin, in 1994,
14was a supervisor at GKN Sinter Metals in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, until being called
15to active duty in December 2003; and

1Whereas, SSG Kiser was well known for his volunteer work with children and
2was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Sheboygan, a member of the V.F.W.
3Post 8974 in Cleveland, a member of the Cleveland Athletic Club, a little league
4coach for his son's Manitowoc County youth sports team, and a member of the
5Cleveland fish and game club; and
AJR2,2,76 Whereas, SSG Kiser, a proud and honorable sailor and soldier, made the
7ultimate sacrifice in defense of his country; and
AJR2,2,98 Whereas, SSG Kiser is survived by his wife, Debra, and their two children,
9Alicia and Mark; and
AJR2,2,1110 Whereas, SSG Kiser will always be remembered for his bravery and courage
11and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
AJR2,2,15 12Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
13Wisconsin legislature honor United States Army Staff Sergeant Charles Anthony
14Kiser for his dedication to his country and express their heartfelt sorrow over the loss
15of his life; and, be it further
AJR2,2,18 16Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
17resolution to United States Army Staff Sergeant Charles Anthony Kiser's wife,
18Debra.
