AJR54,1,53 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CWO2) Joshua Michael Scott, at the age of
428, was killed during combat on May 26, 2005, after his OH-58 Kiowa helicopter
5came under attack and crashed in Buhriz, Iraq; and
AJR54,1,7 6Whereas, Joshua Michael Scott was assigned to D Troop 1st Squadron, 17th
7Cavalry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and
AJR54,1,108 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott started out as a light vehicle mechanic
9in South Korea and Germany, and he quickly worked his way up the ranks and
10served in the 2nd Ranger Battalion; and
AJR54,1,1211 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott was a graduate from the Warrant
12Officer course and flight school; and
AJR54,1,1513 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott enlisted in the Army immediately after
14graduating from Sun Prairie High School in 1995, and was deployed to Iraq in 2004;

1Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott was an exceptional soldier who always
2tried to achieve the highest of standards and therefore received many awards for his
3service to the United States; and
AJR54,2,54 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott provided an outstanding example to his
5family: wife, Sherri, sons Kenneth and Kross, and daughter Trynity; and
AJR54,2,76 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott will always be remembered for his
7bravery and courage and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
AJR54,2,11 8Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
9Wisconsin legislature honor Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Michael Scott for his
10dedication to this country and express their heartfelt sorrow over the loss of his life;
11and, be it further
AJR54,2,14 12Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
13resolution to Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott's wife, Sherri Scott; his mother, Catherine
14Scott; and his sisters, Beverly Scott and Melissa Scott.
