AJR63,1,1 1Relating to: the life of Reggie Lisowski.
AJR63,1,92 Whereas, Reggie Lisowski of South Milwaukee died Saturday, October 22,
32005. He was known by most as "The Crusher," a South Milwaukee icon. Lisowski
4put Milwaukee on the map for many wrestling fans around the country and he took
5this accomplishment, as well as his wrestling career, extremely seriously. In spite of
6his flamboyant style in the ring, Lisowski was known for his blue-collar roots in the
7Milwaukee area where he worked at a Cudahy packing house and as a bricklayer
8while getting his start in professional wrestling. Lisowski may have been a villain
9in the ring but he was a true friend to the people; and
AJR63,1,1410 Whereas, Lisowski was physically active from a young age, working out until
11the day he died. His start in sports was as a fullback for South Milwaukee High
12School. He got his start in wrestling in the Army in Germany during WWII.
13Lisowski's interest in wrestling for a living was sparked much later when he won a
14wrestling competition at a local carnival; and

1Whereas, Reggie Lisowski was not only a devoted wrestler, but a devoted
2husband, father, and grandfather as well. Faye, his beloved wife of 55 years,
3preceded him in death. He is survived by 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and one
4great-grandchild; now, therefore, be it
AJR63,2,7 5Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
6Wisconsin legislature commend the life of Reggie "The Crusher" Lisowski, mourn his
7death, and offer condolences to his family and many friends; and, be it further
AJR63,2,9 8Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit copies of this joint
9resolution to Mr. Lisowski's 4 children.
